Jacques Masset

President, Expert Consultant in Food Ingredients

I founded In-Food Consulting in 2020 to support the international food ingredient industry as an expert consultant in the business development of true healthy, responsible and enjoyable food.

I previously worked in the international food ingredient sector for more than 25 years, holding various positions in R&D, applications, technical service, innovation, new business development, marketing, and product management at both regional and global levels, for mid-sized to large companies such as Tate & Lyle, Kerry, Cargill, Evonik, and BASF.

I operated across an extensive range of technologies and ingredients, including among others, flavours, seasonings, plant extracts, plant and animal proteins, fibres, sugar and sodium reduction, probiotics and other biotics, minerals & vitamins, precision fermentation.

With proven results, I gained a unique expertise in food ingredients, new business and new product development, product strategy, and M&A.

I hold a master’s degree in food science as well as business management and marketing, and I have a deep technical knowledge in life science, biochemistry, food & beverages formulation and processing, flavour chemistry and formulation, and nutrition & health.

In-Food consulting offers bespoke and actionable strategic consulting in new business development of food ingredients.

Over the last few years, we have had the privilege of supporting several international clients, from major global food ingredient companies to breakthrough startups, in successfully achieving their new business development objectives and promoting true healthy, responsible and enjoyable food.
